All ABOUT G4
G4 may have come second in the 2004 series of X factor but that hasn’t stopped them from becoming one of the most successful acts to emerge from the TV series.
Following on from their sell out tours of 2005 and 2006 this year sees them on a 3rd tour of the country. G4 are Jon Ansell , Mike Christie Ben Thappa and Matt Stiff who originally all were musical students at the Guildhall school of music hence the name G4 .All four are trained classical singers.
They have been described as a classical boy band, barber shop quartet, four piece male ensemble , there music as classical crossover, pop opera but their music style is diverse it would be hard to put them into a category. From classical to ballads to covers of popular songs done in there own unique style, G4 have gained a huge fan base that’s as diverse as the songs they sing.
There recent mini Christmas tour of cathedrals enthralled audiences with their unique style and with no microphones and little accompaniment it showed how they have to be seen live to really be appreciated at their best.
Not only do they have such wonderful voices but they are pretty nice guys who always have time for us fans.
I'm totally converted.
